One of the first ten pieces I created in my new Hayes Barton studio, this sketch is part of my Capsule Collection—a series of charcoal drawings that marked the relaunch of my art practice.
I used a reference photo, but the drawing came quickly. Loose, minimal, and full of attitude.
She’s playful. Maybe a little guarded. Definitely a little cheeky—as they say in London.
I love how much you can say with so few lines.
