Person Hiding Their Face Cream backround

from $24.00

Part of my London Archives series, this was drawn from a live model during one of my favorite illustration classes.

She stood in this pose for just a minute or two—long enough to capture the gesture, but not long enough to overwork it.

The face is hidden, but the shape of the body says plenty.

That’s what I loved about sketching from life: you didn’t have time to overthink. You had to trust your hand.

There’s something shy about this one. Or maybe just private.
